Caramel Apple Cupcakes

I macerated Gala apples and folded into an applesauced-vanilla batter. The frosting is a Caramel Buttercream. Fruit is a wonderful vehicle for ensuring a super moist cake. The nibbles of baked-in apple added wonderfully to the texture of the cake in communion with the creamy frosting. For shimmer and a fun "crunch" I dusted the cupcakes with sugar crystals.
