Candy Bar Cupcakes

This YUMMILICIOUS cupcake was rich and decadent. I made this batch with my hubby in mind for Father's Day. The conception began with an "I'm Nuts For You" theme.

There is a cashew and pecan crust baked beneath a chocolate cake filled with "all things candy bar". Baked into the cupcake there is caramel, a cream-cheese driven nougat, peanuts and milk chocolate. In lieu of frosting, I made a toffee-like cashew-pecan chocolaty candy and  put a dollop of the cream-cheese nougat.
