Horrible. Cake = dry. Frosting = a flavorless, pasty, thick mass.
I find in a lot of storefront bakeries... that to get that "sculpted" look in the frosting they lean toward a firmer dense texture. I prefer... creamy. If that means giving up on the frostings "ability" to rise three-swirls-up in piping... SO BE IT!
Sidenote: I love love shopping at Krogers. I am a huge fan of the Kroger-brand products... especially their dairy department goods.
