Vanilla Pastry Studio in Pittsburgh

I was ready to be "put-off" after learning that they serve all flavors with a base of a vanilla cake or chocolate cake (except the "red" velvet which had a buttermilk buttercream frosting) - and that the flavor varieties are brought to the forefront with the frostings used... BUT THEN..... I tasted the frostings! Best BEST I've ever EVER had. Ultra creamy and ultra flavorful. They shared that they do a Meringue Frosting. WOW! The cakes (although the basic batters) were ultra light and yet ultra moist... go figure.




Simplicity - and it works!
