Baked inside a vanilla cupcake is the center spiral of a cinnamon roll (for this experiment I simply used Pillsbury)... placed strategically so that part of it would bake above the cake. I contemplated vanilla cake vs. cinnamon cake for the batter. Next time I would do a cinnamon cake.
With this cupcake... it's a definite to serve WARM... and plan on a fork. I caramelized some pecans for a crunchy topping (optional, of course).
